Assistant Instructor
The Assistant Instructor course (will be taught in partnership at a PADI 5 Star Dive Centre) introduces you to the tools and skills required to become an effective teacher. You will be challenged, but reap the rewards as you find yourself well on your way to effectively grow as a dive professional.
To enrol in this 4 day Pro development course you must be 18 years or older with a minimum of 60 logged dives. A Divemaster, or at leadership level from another organisation, diver certification for 6 months and medical clearance signed by a physician. Classroom and independent study will introduce you to student diver instruction, the PADI system and a test of your diving knowledge. Water skills, stamina tests, both Confined and open water presentations will perfect your skills. You can be assured of full readiness should you wish to proceed to the Instructor Development Course (IDC) and complete your Open Water Scuba Instructor. |
